What is the best piece of advice you have received?

The best piece of advice that I have received is to approach life with curiosity and a sense of humor. It has helped me navigate challenges with a lighter heart and an open mind, reminding me that sometimes the best solutions come when we are willing to ask questions and laugh at ourselves along the way.

If you could have a day all to yourself, what would you do?

If I had a day all to myself (no kids, no work, maybe avoiding any and all adult responsibilities!) I would probably spend it surrounded by tea and snacks, channeling my inner artist. I would spend hours drawing and painting. By the end of the day, I would likely be covered in paint, full of tea, and convinced that I am the next great artist, at least in my own living room!

Do you have a pet? If so, tell us about them?

Yes, I have a small dog who is a delightful mix of Maltese and Shih Tzu. He is a little ball of energy, running around, full of personality, and always ready to be cuddled and could spend the day with someone to pet him. He loves jumping around like he is on a mission, and his lively spirit definitely keeps me on my toes!

What is a book you could read again for the first time?

Definitely Harry Potter. There is nothing quite like getting lost in the magical world of Hogwarts, wizards, and spells. I love reading it to my children at night, turning each chapter into a new adventure and moments that make us all giggle. It is the perfect way to make bedtime magical, funny, and just a little bit enchanting, and secretly, I wish I had my own wand so I could cast a “sleepy time” spell on everyone!

If you weren’t a psychologist what would you be?

If I was not a psychologist, I would be a traveler and explorer. I love discovering new places, especially in warm, sunny destinations. I dream of relaxing on beaches, feeling the sun on my face, and exploring vibrant cities with warm weather that we do not always get here. Traveling to sunny spots keeps my spirits high and my curiosity alive. I would spend my days soaking up the warmth, trying new foods, and making unforgettable memories. Exploring the world and basking in warm weather, that is what I would love to be doing!

If you could describe yourself in 3 words, what would they be?

Curious, compassionate, and occasionally funny.

If you could have a superpower to help your clients, what would it be?

If I could have a superpower to help my clients, I would want the ability to instantly bring them clarity and perspective. Like a little superhero sidekick that helps people see things more clearly and feel more in control, making the tough days a little easier to handle.

If you wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?

If I wrote a book about my life, the title would be Chasing Sunshine. It reflects my love for warm weather, adventure, and always seeking positivity and growth. It is a reminder to stay hopeful, embrace new opportunities, and find moments of sunshine even in the rain.

For my walk-up song, I would go with ‘Girl on Fire’ by Alicia Keys. It is all about feeling strong, confident, and ready to shine. It would be like I am walking in with purpose and a whole lot of fire behind me.

What is personal walk-up or entrance theme song?

The most profound thing I have learned since becoming a psychologist is that empathy and active listening can be transformative. Sometimes, simply being truly present and understanding can make a significant difference in someone's journey toward healing and growth. It is a powerful reminder that connection and compassion are at the heart of meaningful change.
